On Friday, 7th October the P34 children and children from the Gaelic class treated us to a wonderful Harvest assembly. The Gaelic songs and prayers were beautifully performed and the children spoke confidently about the meaning of Harvest. Then it was tasting time and the children and parents got to taste the bread that we made, and the Bramble jelly Mrs McHarrie had prepared from the brambles all the children had collected. Mr McNulty blessed our Harvest table, many thanks to the parents and grandparents who contributed.
The donations were sorted into bags with letters from the children - they were delivered to Gortanvogie, the hospital kitchen and the District Nurses, and have also been handed out to people in the community who need it. We have since heard that they were greatly received!
Well done the children who performed so wonderfully and practised so hard, and Mrs Hannett for organising it all.
